If you were attacked by two 10,000 lb giants and after taking a beating you climbed a tree

It's a rhetorical question. I imagine I'd be pretty freaked out by a pair of monsters that much bigger than me if they were beating the crap out of me.

It's how the squirrel that my dogs mauled yesterday must have felt. It got away from them and climbed the wall of my house up to the second floor eaves and stayed there for about 36 hours before moving.

While a feel bad for the misery that squirrel endured, I effing HATE squirrels, so I am not losing any sleep over it.

my dog is a professional squirrel killer.

he doesnt actually chase them, but outruns them to the tree they always make a beeline for, and then turns and snatches them up.

I was suprised my pit bull didn't tear it up. My husky/shepherd was the more motivated of the two and he is a teddy bear. they were clearly playing as at one point the squirrel cowered in terror as the two of them sniffed at it. I could tell they wanted to chase it and were waiting for it to bolt. The squirrel played it smart...

mine walks around with it in his mouth for a while then tries to eat them. My wife makes me take the rodent away from him before he does 😕

In my first home, they got into the eaves and threw raves. when they weren't throwing parties in there, they were shredding insulation and spreading it around my yard.

In my current home, squirrels have again made my eaves their home. this squirrel family must have heard what I did to their cousins, because they seem to be relatively quiet tenants. I sealed them out once, but they came out.

I don't have too much of a problem with squirrels, but I'd love a pet that beat the ever-loving s(%t out of pigeons. 😀

Why the pigeon gotta be black!? 🙂

And then Jack chopped down what was the world's last beanstalk, adding murder and ecological terrorism to the theft, enticement and trespass charges already mentioned and all the giant's children didn't have a daddy any more. But he got away with it and lived happily ever after without so much as a guilty twinge about what he had done. Which proves that you can be excused just about anything if you're a hero, because no one asks inconvenient questions.

Ever.

even if they had the collective brainpower of my two dogs and no opposable thumbs? Of course the sharp pointy teeth thing is a tick in their favor...

That sucks, I'm honestly a huge fan of squirrels, just furry little things that run around free without any obligations or things to keep track of in this world. They want to climb a tree, they can do that. They don't have any political/racial issues and all get along. They live a simple life that they enjoy and for the most part don't create an issue. Maybe I'm going too far with the squirrel thing, but they are free like many other animals and it seems like they have it easier than the rest of us because they get along and don't let stupid things get in the way of their lifestyle. This can maybe be applied to all animals, but I chose the squirrel.

And no, I'm not on drugs.

My dog isn't much bigger than a squirrel, but he has a lot of fight in him. He tries to get them, but they out run him by the time he hits the end of his lead.

It would be an interesting fight to say the least.
