Depends on what kinda club it is. If its a hip hop club can't go wrong with some Biggy or some 50

Name a few songs that you would want to hear, and I'm sure I can help choose some more from there.

And yes, I know not everyone else likes trance. But I know plenty of good dance tracks that appeal to everyone.

hm i'd prefer hiphop tracks, but i'm down for dance/funky BS tracks

just general tracks that would appeal to a wide range of people, that a dj can mix ;)

i have a pretty odd taste in music compared to my friends, so i'm trying to compile a mix of BS tracks that other people will be able to tolerate

I prefer punk and dub-reggae, growing up on the beach has infused it into me.

Warning, none of these are going to be rap/hip-hop. And don't be scared by the names, I'm pretty good at picking out what appeals to a lot of people.

Ferry Corsten - Rock Your body Rock
Delerium feat. Sarah McLaughlin - Silence (Tiesto In Search of Sunrise Remix) -- But this song has too many breakdowns and slower parts, so it may be a tough one, but definitely a killer on the floors.
Daft Punk - One More Time
Eric Prydz - Call on Me
Oliver Moldan - Beauty In L.A.
Armand Van Helden - My, My, My
Benny Benassi - Satisfaction -- I personally hate this song, but other people like it.

Hope some of those got you started in the right direction.

EDIT: Ok, just saw the "hiphop" part to your post. Yeah, don't know how much you'll like these then.

I totally agree, most of those songs are TOTALLY played out. I start there, before knowing where to go for reccomendations.

BUT, you hate Ferry Corsten...so I can no longer participate in this thread :p.

The man is a freaking genius.

KS

PS-I hate you.

I would want to listen to some Opeth or perhaps some Bloodbath or maybe some Abigor ...
Depends on if it was a Death Metal club, a Death-Grind club, or a Black Metal club.

If it was not any of those, then I would be completely indifferent as to what "tracks" were in the background. I would make myself as stupid as possible as fast as possible so I could then tolerate mainstream music. So mostly, I would be in a state of drunken stuper.

First of all, PVD has sucked for YEARS now. But I never heard that story. I did hear/read something about Ferry staying on the stage once longer for a set, when it was PVD's turn. But Ferry is very widely respected in the community and is friends with most other artists/DJ's.

Bah. Doesn't really matter.
