How would you feel if you got stuck with a family in a really really small town? And by small town means where everyone knows the Mayor, cop and mailman, who are often the same person :p

I would be so so depressed.

And no, I am not that person. Was talking to a friend of mine, and he mentioned that someone at work was getting one.

that would suck, you are from a forgein country you want to see the sites, but again this student could be a country boy, but still that would suck

I think it depends on where the exchange student is from. If he's from a big city then yeah, he'll be bored. But if he was from a similar type of town, I think it is a good experience for him.

If there are enough people to hang out in that town, he'll probably be ok, as long as he gets to see the sites on the weekends.

It don't matter if there are only 10 people in the town, as long as someone is "fun" then it don't matter how many people there are... it would still be cool.
