If you were 100% sure your girl / boyfriend would never know it, would you cheat on her / him ?

No way, guilt would eat some people up. I would never do it because I wouldn't want it done to me....

Just like PH said - I wouldn't, and neither would my wife. There is nothing worth risking that trust. Nothing.

But it seems to me that no one who cheated ever planned to get caught - and yet they do.

Well, in my question, I assumed there was NO RISK AT ALL !
She / he would NEVER know it...

He/she might never know it, but you would always know what a POS you were - and do you really think that wouldn't affect anything?

No, I never would cheat, whether my SO would discover it or not. If you want to cheat that badly, then you end one relationship before you begin another, even if it is just for sex.

Nope!

I mean, what's the point of cheating when you already have someone that you love and are willing to spend the rest of your life with?

Yeah there is more at issue than being caught, it would end up screwing the relationship frmo your eyes...plus all my girlfriend would have to do in the future would be ask, I find it extremely hard to lie to her. I can lie to others but she sees through it almost all the time, partly because I know this makes it even harder. Oh well.

I never cheated on any of the jerks I dated ... why would I be so stupid as to cheat on the love of my life and the man I'm going to marry? Answer is I wouldn't be. I wouldn't cheat on him no matter how safe it would be ... its just not worth it ... When you have something exceptional why screw it up. If you arent happy in a relationship its your responcibility to let your partner know and either work it out together or end it together. Not futzing around behind their back.

Wouldn't be prudent. :)

Besides nothing stays a secret forever. What goes around ,comes around.

Face it, most people cheat.

And most of the ones that don't...would...if they could.

I feel sorry for you that you have yet to have a good relationship, but hopefully you will realize one day where we're coming from.

If there's something I've learned to be a FACT in this life, it is 'What goes around, comes around' or Karma. Whichever way you prefer to call it.

No matter how 'Foolproof' someone may think 'cheating' is, you've broken a trust and penance will be paid is some way.

Besides, if I'm looking to cheat then that means there's already something wrong with the relationship...I'd END IT first, then go about my life. It's what's best for me, it's what's best for her.

If I were 100% sure I could walk on the surface of the sun without burning my feet, would I do it?
This is just as easy to be 100% certain of, as your question is.
Besides it's wrong! Naughty-naughty!!
