Well I don't generally go to fast food places, but yes, if I were wearing a hat and decided to go to Taco Bell, I would remove my hat prior to eating. I guess people just don't give a shit about etiquette anymore.

Not everyone is bald like you man. Doing one's hair often involves blow drying, products, and styling. OR you can put on a hat after the shower. Trust me, if I was black, I'd spend an hour doing my hair. I'm Asian, which means my hair is a mess if I don't spend time with it. Not everyone is blessed with the easy comb down hair (or baldness). The things whities enjoy and they don't even know about it (well, unless you're white and bald, then them's the breaks) Now if I subscribed to the buzzcut newsletters, I would not be cool like yours truly.

BTW, I've worn baseball caps for several decades...the ONLY place where NOT removing your cap MIGHT be appropriate during a meal, is in a truck stop...and odds are, MOST of the truckers will also remove their caps while eating.

Most of my life, I was either in a hard hat or ball cap...yet I nearly always removed my had while indoors...and ALWAYS while eating.
