Hehe, sorry to hear of your troubles, but if you have a SCSI drive they are loud as heck! :\
 
It is always better to place your computer and pherificals into another room. Just your screen, keyboard and mouse/tracksh*t should stay in your office.
It is not only DU that causes problems.
