If you want to create a bootable media, you prefer to CD or ISO

Yes, they do take significantly longer to copy to flash drives; particularly USB 2.0 drives. If we are talking USB 3.0 drives, they are a bit faster but still not even close to five minutes and for the price of one, a 100pk of DVDs can be had. Bootable USB drives are just impractical comparatively.

What's the difference between the CD and ISO? Is vpn connected with these one? Hoping it is.

Sometimes the term ISO is used rather loosely. Basically, it is an image file. CD is a type of media that can be used to contain an ISO image file. Same for DVD, etc. All are generically optical media.
