If you threw up in someone's car

Seriously.

Would you go there the next day to clean it up or just ignore the entire thing and let your friend clean it up.

My friend did it in my car and he is ignoring me. I already cleaned it up. Took me 4 hours and a lot of carpet cleaning materials.

The smell is still there but covered up by an entire bottle of febreze. Since this guy is being a jerk I might as well go get the entire carpet floor replace and then send him the bill.

Regardless of who's car it is, I would pay to have it professionally detailed.

Put yourself in the car owners shoes and someone blows chunks, how would you feel?

An appology maybe. Some cash to get the car detailed at the most. I would never clean it myself.

Crap like that happens when you take on friends who are either sick or drunk.

Bwahahahaha!!! What a shitty "friend." Drop him unless he apologizes + offers to pay for the cleaning.

Pay for it to be professionally cleaned.

Not as bad as when my ex and I bought a pet rat. I opened the box in her car to play with him, as pet rats are usually slow, but they must've been taking wild rats and putting them in cages because that fucker jumped right out and ran up into her dash. There it lived, pissing and shitting all over her car when she wasn't around and chewing apart radio wires, after a few failed attempts at catching it with a trap. She didn't keep the cleanest of cars (her laziness probably worsened by the fact that the car smelled like rat shit anyway) and the rat was eventually found decomposing, maggots and all, a few months later. I don't think she ever forgave me but she was a bitch anyway.

Been there, done that...both as the hurler and hurlee...When I did it, I cleaned it myself the next day, (we were both to trashed to deal with it at the time) and I had the carpets cleaned at a local shop. (this was many years ago when detailing shops were almost unheard of)
When it was done to me, I still ended up cleaning it myself and having the carpets cleaned...on my dime. I tried to collect from the hurler, and he mumbled something about taking care of it next payday...I never saw the dirtbag again.

I've only had a friend throw up in my car once; luckily, she was small, and she apparently hadn't eaten much that day, so there was hardly anything to clean up.

Despite that fact, though, she offered to pay to have the car detailed the next day. If I ever vomited in a friend's vehicle, that'd be the same type of recompense I'd provide, along with likely offering to take them to lunch.

I had a friend do that before. We were on the freeway and I told him to let me know if he's going to puke. He tells me he's only puked once in his life and that he's sure he won't. 10 seconds later when I'm going 70 on the freeway, he pulls down the window to try to throw up outside, but failed miserably and left my interior soaked in what looked like salsa. It took me 4 hours to clean but I cleaned it out really well. He didn't do anything about it...I don't trust people who don't know how to clean to clean my car.

If your friend won't even talk to you about it, what do you think sending him a bill will accomplish? He'll laugh in your face.

QFT. If he hasn't done this within at most 48 hours (12 is better), he is not your friend.

The rat story is one of the funniest things I've ever read. That's one of those things that seem too bizarre to make up.

If people are throwing up in your car and not doing anything about it, it may be time to look at your life. You might be hanging out with the wrong crowd in general.

But first act like it's all cool, then eat a few big macs and drive somewhere with him... but take one of those meds meant to induce vomiting.

Wait, you need a ride home. Just go to his house to blow the chunks on the carpet or couch instead.

Yeah I'd probably offer him a few bucks to get it cleaned. However if you offer your vehicle to be designated Vomit Comet for the evening you should not be surprised when it happens.

A buddy did this to me a few years ago. He was hammered, but still had the sense to go inside, get a towel/supplies and get to work on it. I have him props for this, and went ahead and did the final run though after he was done which was far less disgusting.
