If you thought your setup is slick, you gotta see this

This was in Off Topic earlier today, however since search function has gone down the crapper no one thinks anything of it.

I think its kind of dumb, I'd get such a monitor for the high resolution, not pile it up and negate that. Yes its still there but I'd rather surround myself with monitors, not have to climb a ladder or use a telescope to see what's going on in the 1st row, 3rd column monitor.

I'll admit I'm jealous, seeing as how I'd love to have just one 3007FPW, and this setup has twelve...

Buuutttt...I'd almost rather have the setup of 5 Apple 30" shown in pics lower on that site, because I could actually use it, its not something I'd just show off and boast about - although I certainly could and probably would.

I'm quite comfortable right now with my Samsung 213T (heck, it's all that can fit on a dorm room desk anyway), but I do feel some lust for a couple of Apple 30" Cinema displays. The Dell displays just look too bland in design when compared to the Cinemas, IMHO. Besides, a wall of them is just a ridiculous display of wealth without having much use. If I were going to do that, I'd probably just use four projectors tiled on a rear-projection screen to get the full-wall effect with more-than-decent resolution (2048x1536) given the viewing distance.

Although that looks really cool, the panels need to be positioned much closer together. The large spaces between them will be quite distracting IMO.
