If you actually leave it there to get rained on, you will deserve whatever happens.

At least cover it with a tarp, tent, sleeping bag, jacket, raincoat, something.

It is never good to allow electronics to get wet. There is a small watch battery on the motherboard that will provide an electric current and possibly cause a short with the rain water. The PSU, the hard drives, water within the motherboard slots...

This can't be a real question.

The main problem is deposits left after the water has dripped off/evaporated, which could still short connections.

Most people would wonder why the hell you need to leave the PC outside in the first place.

Not if it contains hard drives, unless they're the sealed helium filled type.
