If you started making 10x what you make now would you trade in your spouse/gf for a 10?

Heck no. If I got 10 times my current salary, I would be doing very well, but it would still be considered marital income. Since we have 5 kids, I would pay a fortune in child support. Plus, the new chick would probably be very high maintenance.

...and realistically, I love my wife and think I'll keep her "for richer or poorer." Sickness or Health...now THAT's negotiable... ;)

My gf already is a 9.5, no reason to change for basically no gain, and besides theres this little thing called love that sorta tips it in my current gf's favor.

The majority of men shallow enough to trade in their current wives for someone better looking are probably too stupid to ever run into any significant amount of money.

So it's an invalid question.

They let you back?

Your answer confuses me though, because you seem shallow enough to trade in your current wife (if you had one), but you also seem to think you're capable of making a significant amount of money.

you see it happen all the time on TV, people make it big become superstars and get the divorce and trade in the wife for younger hotter arm candy

i was hearing a debate and they were bascially saying guys that begin to make serious dough will not stay with 6, 7 or 8's they move on to 9s and 10s

if u have $, it's expected to have a beautiful wife. there's actually social pressure to have eye candy walking in w/you. else people 'talk'

Actually I locked myself out and they gave me a new password.

But I'm NOT a shallow person at all when it comes to women. Other things...well that's a different story.

But any girl I would be with in any bad economic situation, would be the same quality of girl I would be with in a good economic situation. I will not settle for just anyone, no matter my situation. So to me, the question is invalid.

Ah yes. I believe I told you you'd be back. They ALWAYS come back.

I think most people (men & women) would trade up if they really could but would not admit to it. I also wonder why a lot of people assume that trading up from avgerage to hot means the hottie is somehow flawed "inside".

Does any guy honestly believe that a girl who loves you for who you are and doesn't take $ into account would stay with you if you lost/quit your job and bummed around all day? They might stick with you for a while giving you a chance to rebound to another good job, but if you fail to recover their going to trade your ass in if they can attract another guy that makes the kind of money they want to live a comfortable life.
