I overpaid on my Discover Card by a substantial ammount.

Am I supposed to call them and request a Check?

i think you need to call them and tell them that you want the money as a refund, instead of a credit balance. If they say no... tell them that you need to close the account and they will have to send you a check.

:)

Yup.

EDIT: Wait, Discover? Just go make a cash withdrawal with your card. IIRC, you can do that at any Sears store.

i doubt youll get the cash advance fee if you buy something small and get extra cash back.

No, not unless you request a check.

So yes you can get your money back but you need to request it.

Yes they will just credit your account, but yes you can request a check for it as well...as long as you don't ring up more purchases in the meantime.
