If you only had $1000 to spend on a TV

What would you get? I am still using a 8 year old 27" and I would like to get something at least a little bigger and better quality. I know $1000 won't buy much of a TV but it should at least be a upgrade from what I got if nothing else.

Do you want a 4:3 or 16:9 set Sniper82?

Probably 4:3 but might consider 16:9. Would have to get used to gaming in widescreen.

I'm so cheap that if I did upgrade before it broke , I'd get a 32" or 35" tube TV and bank the rest of the $1000.

What gaming systems do you own/plan on buying Sniper82? I'm just trying to narrow down your options, don't hate me! 🙂

If I only had $1000 to spend on a TV? 😕 I was only planning on spending < $500 on my next TV. 🙁

Well I currently have a Xbox but I plan on getting a Xbox 360 and/or PS3 in the future but not anytime soon. Guess I should mention I only have Wal-Mart and K-Mart around and the nearest BB is 80+ miles away.

That might fit in the back of my car if I drove to get it. Well maybe 😀.

I'm pretty sure a 32" LCD would fit into most cars. You may need to remove and compact the box.

Product Height 25-1/2" (with stand); 23-1/2" (without stand)

Product Width 31-3/8"

Product Weight 34 lbs. (with stand); 30 lbs. (without stand)

Product Length 8" (with stand); 3-7/8" (without stand)

I'd probably get an Infocus 4805 again.

Oh, or Optoma H31. That looks like a good one too with very similar specs except it includes a DVI connection natively without adapter.
