You can get stuff a lot better elsewhere, which of course are the smaller stores. Lee's used to be decent, got big and now suck big time.

EDIT2: Of course, I talk like someone who knows the area, but for someone who doesn't, they're decent. Always seems so crowded though, I don't like waiting.

Different strokes for different folks. I personally like the Lee's baguette style sandwiches compared to the many other Vietnamese sandwich places. And don't tell me that I haven't tried authentic this and that because I have! I wouldn't say they are THE best sandwiches, but they are above average for the price.
Oh btw, it's not SoCal only. Lee's started up in the Bay Area.
