If you live in SoCal you ought to try Lee's sandwiches!!

This is place is great. The decoration is pretty upscale a la Au Bon Pain, but the 10 inch bagette sandwiches are only $1.50!!!!!! All the bread are baked fresh at the store. Free internet access. The only bad thing is that there's none in the west side 🙁

Well, considering its one of the worse places you can get one of those sandwiches, I'll pass. I grew up in the area (little saigon) with the viet community and am viet. You can get stuff a lot better elsewhere, which of course are the smaller stores. Lee's used to be decent, got big and now suck big time.

EDIT: I'm assuming you're talking about their expansion on Brookhurst and Westminster?

EDIT2: Of course, I talk like someone who knows the area, but for someone who doesn't, they're decent. Always seems so crowded though, I don't like waiting.

There are probably better places, but I would need a vietnamese to hook me up.
I went to the one in Fullerton. I think for the money ($1.50) the food is great.

i have heard of the place before on ATOT.. but i havnet had an chance to go there yet..

i end up going to humong lang sandwiches here in sactown.

if you like that stuff you must enjoy eating sh|t. you can go to any other place in little saigon and get better food. you may pay up to a dollar more, but anything beats that cr@p.

VN here too. Lee's sucks, I can't imagine at 1AM there are crowds waiting in line to order. But for someone who doesn't know any better, who have never had vietnamese food, this place is decent.

I'm a dumb Mexican, so I don't know how to tell which of these sandwich places are the "better" ones. 🙂

When I want to eat Vietnamese food I usually go to Thanh My on Bolsa. So far, they're my favorite. 😀

There is a new sandwich shop that just opened up on Brookhurst & McFadden where the Teri-Boy teriyaki place used to be... I stopped by a few days ago and took home a bag full of sandwiches, and they seemed to be pretty damn good.

Do you guys have any suggestions for other good places in Little Saigon?

Thanks!😀

Maybe I'll try one on my way home from work. I drive up harbor blvd and pass by that costco on my way home.

i personally love lee's sandwiches, but i've had them from all over. i like their bread though because i don't like eating so much bread as i've had at so many other places.

You should go to Tai Buu Paris. Their sandwiches cost a little bit more but it makes up for it with quality. Try the BBQ Pork, a delicacy.

lincoln and what? what kind of bread do they use? this is good, i live in westwood. 😀

Different strokes for different folks. I personally like the Lee's baguette style sandwiches compared to the many other Vietnamese sandwich places. And don't tell me that I haven't tried authentic this and that because I have! I wouldn't say they are THE best sandwiches, but they are above average for the price.

Oh btw, it's not SoCal only. Lee's started up in the Bay Area.

Well said. For the price is a really good deal. I've only tried their asian style sandwiches. Next time I will probably try their croissants 🙂

He probably means this. I live 5 blocks from there and yeah that place seems to be packed all the time. Never tried it. One thing for sure...the sandwitches won't be a buck fifty.

Lee's sandwiches are hard and got barely any meat. They are plenty of vietnamese sandwiches in OC that are way better than Lee's. They just 'americanized' their storefront to pass it off as good stuff.

O yea i like Thanh My's too!
