If you lit a lighter near your butt just before you farted, would there really be a flame?

My little brother used to do this. Was hysterical because he wore shorts around the house all the time (would change when he came in) so they were always old and worn out. Since they were so worn, they were covered in fuzzy things from general wear. When he would do it these little bastards would catch fire and leave his ass and crotch region flaming. Would burn out after a couple of seconds when those little furry things were burned up, but was amuzing as hell cause his eyes would always get real big, like he didnt expect it
