If you liked Canon Rock... (YouTube Top #5)

I think they're working on getting an actual video cam rip of the performance... I believe this particular one was a girl using a digital camera's movie mode...

Great job by the guitarist, but the ensemble could've used some more practice time together...was this at a student Lunar ball? Seems pretty nice...ours had 600+ people at one point and still didn't have a live show like this.

I like their idea, but I didn't like the execution as much. I felt they were all over the place, starting off playing JerryC's version, then playing close to the original piece and then that weird transition into an improv guitar solo. What's up with the half naked keyboard guy?

That would be Pulsar Li, who's a fairly crazy senior who's been playing jazz piano for a long long time... he was recognized by a lot of the crowd because he plays in a local band called the pulsar triyo - this was just some friends who got together a few weeks before and practiced a bit. The sound systems were just bad, so otherwise it would sound better... the guitar was still awesome.

Also, this was just one part of 12+ acts for the show.

Two words: It rocks

Is that the keyboardist from Pulsar Triyo?

Yep - just curious, do you know him through the band? I live one floor above him in the dorms.

Pulsar Triyo won the Battle of the Bands my senior year at Duke. I remember the band performing a jazzed up version of Toxic by Britney Spears. I did know the band that won Battle of the Bands the previous year: Uncle Jemima.
