I have an autistic brother and brother-in-law, this is an interesting read for anyone who interacts with autistic persons on a regular basis.

And it looks like it was Joomla created just yesterday.

The actual info and intent of the site is good, though, but I honestly think it needs some work.

I have an autistic teenager. That's, yawn, just another well-meaning but not very good site, just like tons of others.

For example, not all autistic people are visually oriented - that's a myth that causes a lot of pain and confusion.

A much better site is wrongplanet.net Sorry, it's not a short and cute site - but autism isn't something you can master quickly.

That was uncalled for. All I said is that the site could use some work. And I stand by that statement. The site princess ida linked looks like a better resource. I'm all for educational websites and resources, but that doesn't mean that I won't offer critical comments on website content or design.

Agreed, uncalled for. Additionally, I agree that the site does look pretty terrible. Poor choice of pink text on gray/pink background makes it difficult for some to read, irritating for others. The image of marshmallows looks like a really bad MS Paint job. There are two small white columns on either side of the main frame that are either unintended (sloppy) or intended (poor taste). The layout is pretty good with main text in the middle and links on either side, but the header looks like something I would have written in a first year high school html basics class. The search box has no actual search button; it's not intuitive for those that don't understand that the Enter key may be used. Guest books and a Links page? Who uses that crap anymore? Welcome to 1995. With each of the more important navigation links on the left, you have to click at least twice, sometimes three times to get to the information you're intending to read.

It's a failsite.

It's an amateur site, for sure. The site linked, WrongPlanet, is too congested and busy.
