If you killed someone, how would *you* dispose of the body?

I had this conversation at lunch with some of my peers, so I decdided it was interesting enough to bring to my extended peers (namely, ya'll out there).

My idea was to put the body in some kind of oil drum/large container, and fill with a flammable/expolosive substance. Gasoline would do in a pitch, but maybe gunpowder would work to. C4 would be ideal. explode said container, and pitch remains into large body of water.

man and i though i was the only one who thought about that kind of stuff...

but your method is flawed, they would find at least one peice of the body, and get DNA from it, ive spent long hours trying to think up a perfect crime, however every one seems to run into the same problem; there is no perfect murder.

THUS, the only way to kill someone and get away with it is to just go to the city and shoot someone.

I would eat the body. I would grind the bones up and mix them with jello and eat it too.

The other way...I live in Alaska. The Brooks range has been less explored and less mapped than Mars and the ocean bottom. I would have a camping trip...find a nice ravine in the Range...and dispose of it up there. Animals would eat it, the harsh winter would squash any hopes of getting latent DNA...

I would fear replying with any details to this thread. It is just asking for trouble.
But I will reply in depth later. Right now I have to leave.

Why would the harsh winter squash hopes of getting DNA? I thought they were able to extract DNA from the frozen remains of a wooly mammoth. And how is this topic "Highly Technical?" Anyway, I would dissolve the body in sulfuric acid or something. Would that totally destroy any DNA evidence? Of course then the trick becomes where do you get the sulfuric acid and how do you get enough of it without raising suspicion?

and then what would you do with the sulfuric acid???
you cant just leave it at Jiffy Lube at night for them to dispose of it

or could you...:D

Well, if precisely the correct amount of sulfuric acid were used, as I recall my high school chemistry class, wouldn't you just be left with water after the reaction was done? As the acid dissolves the matter, doesn't it become neutralized? I guess I could just dump it down the sewer if that were the case. Somebody who's a chemist please verify or debunk my theory.

Ever watch CSI? You have to employ some highly technical techniques to get one by them!

How feasable would it be to build a mini-rocket that would launch an average size body into space? Something your average Joe could put together over a weekend, or much more involved?

Is the idea to dispose of the body completely, forever into posterity, or just for your lifetime so you wouldn't get caught.

Anyways, I think a good 'ol industrial incinerator would work, but don't leave a trail of body hair.

You'd be left with a lot of stuff. But you could still pour it down the drain. The people at the wastewater plant wouldn't even notice it if it were in a grit dumpster if it made it past the bar racks. If it didn't make it past the bar racks, use more acid next time. ;)

For best results, I'd throw in a few kinds of acid. Once they did their thing, I'd throw the remainder in a base bath. If acid doesn't do the job, base probably will. :p
