If you have worked in the Food Service Industry:

To anyone of you who have ever worked in the food service industry, be it fast food or other...

Is there any place That you REFUSE to eat at?

And why?

KFC.

And the Taco Bell in Chelsea, MI.

KFC--known people who have worked at different restaurants, apparently pests in the food are fairly common.

Taco Bell--that one served poo in the meat.

Oh, and pretty much any fast food restaurant in the Detroit area south of 9 Mile Rd in the north, and Southfield Rd in the west.

Generally -- workers matter more then specific chain . . . if they are mainly staffed by high schoolers you do NOT want to know what has been in the deep fryer.

Steak and Shake.
Saw one that was a disaster area. The manager had been on duty for 14 hours. The one that was there the night before was STILL THERE at 11:am when I went back to complain about prepping food on the Countertops, smoking over said food, messy prep area (looked like a food fight had taken place.
Screw that place.

Tai Pan Resturaunt in Vadnias Heights, MN. I worked there. New cooks... food burned. Bad Chinese.

*takes note of this* Seems like an americannized Chinese restaurant. NOTHING beats Chinese food up in Vancouver, BC. NOTHING!

I worked at a Taco Bell with a bunch of high schoolers and we didn't do stupid sh!t with the food. It all depends on who works at the restaurant.

It is authentic chinese, made by chinese, and one vietnamese dude. Then the boss got pissed, slowly fired all of the good chefs and food prepers. Then I quit. Now the food doesn't taste the same.

If it has Kung Pow Chicken and Sweet and Sour anything, it's not authentic. 😛

McDonald's right up the road from me. NASTY dirty restaurant. I will not eat food from there and the service is horrible as well.

I have never worked in this restaurant, but have part-timed in a catering business for years. I know what constitutes clean and safe food handling.

Roger that. My friend worked at McDonalds, and they put some weird stuff in there... like plastic happy meal toys.

Nah, I'll eat pretty much anywhere. I figure I've probably eaten tons of food that wasn't exactly up to FDA standards and I haven't suffered any ill effects, why should I get all paranoid about it?
