I really want to run out and buy this game, but am not certain whether my PC can handle it. I'm not fond of the idea of upgrading my video card, CPU/Mobo, and possibly a new ram type just for this one game just yet...

What system specs do you guys have, what resolution and detail are you running it in, and what kind of fps are you getting?

I have a Celeron 1.2ghz + Original Radeon 32MB DDR, 512mb ram. Think it will run fine?

I have a 600MHz PIII, 256 MB SDRAM, GeForce DDR, W2K. I get somewhere between 25-10 FPS with 800x600 resolution and viewing distance to middle. It's not a fast pace shooter so it's very playable even below 30FPS. The load time for moving from one place to another is annoying, this will occur even if you have the best machine. The environment is very pretty, the characters are average looking, the spells are very pretty to watch, even if you're the victim of them.

Specs listed below. I'm pulling about 15 fps with a few tweaks applied. It's kind of playable now but not extremely enjoyable. I haven't seen much of a performance change based on resolution but for the record I'm running at 1028x768. I'm kind of wishing I'd waited for the Xbox version personally.

I'm running XP

wow... doesnt sound like my radeon/celeron combo will do much better... 15fps? man that sounds bad, what would be considered a good playable fps for this game (as it does vary from game to game)?

It seems that most ppl are getting roughly the same fps no matter the rig. I get 15-25 in cities and 30-45 in wilderness. It is most likely a memory leak issue that devs are aware of and a patch will be forthcoming sometime. Also the safedisk causes some load time and performance problems and there is a patched exe that removes the safedisk. Its widely advertised on the morrowind forums and it links to gamecopy. I have a 1900+xp and ti500 and 1 gig of ram. Also of interest it appears that many lower power comps and video cards are actually getting better fps than the big boys. Once again a patch will help all.
For the cool water effects to be seen, your vid card must support advanced pixel shading. Not sure about yours, kinda doubt it. If u run 3dmark 2001 and the advanced pixel shader test runs in that then u are alright. If card doesnt support it then the test will not run.
The rest of your puter looks ok to run the game.

*Crosses fingers and waits for a patch*

oh how I love PC gaming!

I'm going to pout my cpu up to around 1300 and run it again, see if it makes a difference. I'll post results.
