I am sure your body absorbs some of it, certainly.

i know we have one, and have to put a new block of salt in it every so often. No idea whats going on in there though.

your body has a hard time with Calcium as you find in water or as you find in milk.

the best source of calcium for your body are Dark Greens. Spinach, Brocchali etc.

but i hate the way soft water tastes. One thing i hate about going to the beach is that they always have gross soft water.

you are right about the straw thing though-- you gotta have a good shampoo/conditioner combo or your hair will never forgive you.
