Its not the alcohol content that stopped the frat boy by the middle of the first bottle, it is the taste. Given what I know about your beer tastes, you might like it. People who have a favorite beer of Bud Light are almost guaranteed to not like it, unless Bud Light is their favorite beer because they have never been exposed to good beer.

EDIT: Double Bastage, a close relative to Arrogant, is 10%

What beer tastes similar to it? One that's widely available.

This was my choice of beers tonight.

The "big" bottles from Belgium were 10% and 10.5% respectively. The St. Bernardus was exceptionally "strong" tasting. When I move to AZ I'm going to have to chase this stuff down. See if I'm Arrogant Bastard Material.

I really cant think of anything that comes close in terms of taste. Plus, the thing about it that I like is how strong the taste is. You may be able to order some online, or there may be somewhere local. See the links in the post above this one
