If you have ever had a disc read error with your playstation 2 please look

This title says most of it...my brother droped my playstation 2 off the counter and now it gets a disc read error and I opened it up and moved the lazer allignment but that did not help me..does anyone know what I should do to fix this disc read error? I have a version 5 ps2..
 
I have tried the tray and lazer allignment...I don't know what to do...its only 5 days old...but I can't return it because I bought it from a friend of mine used...but he only used it a few times...please help i really need this fixed

if it is under warranty, they will fix it...call their support and go through steps with rep. Mine had similar problems and they fixed it for free, except for shipping.
 
I have the same problem, someone dropped it off a shelf when I wasnt there, now on occasion it screws up when playing DVD discs, PS1 CDs have no problems though.
