I have dry loop dsl and was paying 45/month for 6 mbs. I saw on att's site they were offering that same speed for 19.95/month for 12 months or 3 mbs for 14.95. I call to check and the first line of defense says they can't do it so instantly I say I want to cancel. The next person was able to adjust my account. The guy who did it said it was cheaper that the employee discount and he couldn't believe they were offering that cheap of a promo

I have ATT dry loop DSL too (ie. just DSL and nothing else, no phone, nothing) and I was paying $38/month for 3 Mb. Then I saw the thread in SD.

Called yesterday and was able to get on the max speed plan (6 Mb) for $19.95/month but I have to sign on a 1 year contract with $150 fee if I quit before the term is up.

Did you have to sign on 1 year contract too?

He didn't say if a contract was involved, but I don't care I will have the service regardless

I've had ATT DSL for ages, and have somehow been grandfathered in at $24/month for 6mbit.

FYI this works with comcast and just about any company where you have choices of who to stay with, and great tip.
