I just looked, and with low power could see some green markings and the polar caps easily.
It's a little humid so my higher powered eyepieces got condensation on them. Taking care of that then going back out to look.

It's awesome.

The seeing is only OK. At higher magnification, the eddying of the Earths atmosphere is more apparent.
Although Mars is closest that it has been in recorded history, it really isn't too great to see from North America due to it's low azimuth.
The polar cap is really standing out however.

It took 10 hours, but I smoked that Wild Turkey and feasted on corn, potato salad, yams, mashed potatos and chilled watermelon for dessert.
