I picked it up today because at my new apartment my couch is now about 15 feet away from my TV when I'm lounging back on it and playing. It would not pick up the pointer w/the factory sensor bar unless I was leaning forward on the couch, which isn't that comfortable, so I checked out my options.

So I picked it up today and just used it.

All I can say is this thing is like night and day!

Not only does it let me sit back in my normal position (and even further), but I am not seeing ANY of that weird jerky motion that the pointer will make sometimes out of nowhere. It's also SSSSOOOO much easier to be precise with this thing. I can hold the cursor on the screen perfectly still with ease now, and I can pinpoint aim easier now as well.

All I can say is it's DEFINITELY worth the $20 if you are not 100% satisfied with your current setup.

I need a charger for my wiimote, I haven't played anything in over a month and got a used copy of red steel this weekend and both wiimotes were dead. I'd say that red steel is well worth $25, especially in perfect condition like this was.

Seriously ... have you played Red Steel?

I picked it up used myself, and I wish I didn't. I wouldn't even pay $5 for it.

Granted, I now need to play it w/my new sensor bar and see if the controls are any better. The control is the main reason I hated it.

I put in about 45 mins into it, the controls aren't too bad. It's interesting and imo worth $25, I wouldn't go much higher though.

I tried it again last night w/my new sensor bar and it didn't help much :(

the game still controls pretty weird and the pointer is very jumpy. Good concept but bad execution.

You already answered my main question :p
I'm about the same distance from my TV, and the cursor gets jumpy around the edges of the screen. How is battery life for it?

claims 30 hours.

it has a bright ass blue LED on the front of it to remind you that it's on, so that you don't forget to turn it off. I think I'm going to put some electrical tape over it though because it's really bright.

Cool, thanks for the recommendation PB. What sort of batteries does it use? Doesn't seem to say on the EB site, although I didn't look carefully.

Does no one else want a AC wired sensor bar? I can't stand the range of the Nintendo one, but I don't want to have to deal with changing more batteries either...

I might buy a wii now...the projector setup was preventing me but now it seems all good to go!!

I have a projector setup, though my distances are probably shorter. 10 Feet away, 92" :)
Probably should change the screen so I can ceiling mount my projector...
