If you have a CUSL2-C and have calibrated the internal diode, please post your calibration...

Diode Calibration

Mine ended up being -8. I think I did something wrong, but I would like to compare my result to other CUSL2-C owners.

The temps I used: 41/23 at 959, 46,23 at 467.72

I replied in Cpus/Overclocking, but I suggest redoing the calibration with 133 and 66mhz bus so you can get an even 2 to 1 ratio of CPU Wattage.

Spoooon - I don't have the CUSL2 but the P3V4X which should be similar. Per Calibration Instructions leaving the voltage setttings the same. I ran 133 and 66 and also came up with -8C for compensation of internal diode temp. I did not use my current 144 bus based on comment from MikeWarrior2.

I'm wondering whether the big-correction is partly due to Asus boards using their custom temp reading chip? My cusl2 is -5 correction, which is quite large...

I would think that may be true but the correction would still apply based on the formula. The fact that ArcticSilver uses -3 and -5 as their examples in the article leads me to believe that -5C adjustment is not unusual. Of course mine was -8C by the formula. I did however only set mine to -5C just to be safe. I think this is much more accurate than before just based on my case temps being very close to room temps 21-22C. Without the adjustment I get about a +11C case to internal diode difference, which I think is a little high.

no, the -8C is the proper correction, but I know the ARtic Silver people corrected on mb's using the Winbond temp reading chip, while us 3 are correcting Asus temp reading chips.

That may be one reason why our compensations are pretty high.

My P3V4X does have the Winbond chip I believe. So mine should be the same "right".

Actually, the P3V4x should have the asus chip. I know mine does(its not hte clock gen chip, that can either be an ICS or WinBond Chip)... pretty much every asus board since the p3b-f has their custom temp monitoring chip.
