If you have a budget

Let's say you have a budget to do whatever it is: go on holiday, buy a car, do something for the company, whatever.

Do you usually try and get the maximum out of the budget? Or...will you also settle for something at about 1/2 the price.

For example: you're buying a car, and you have a 25k budget: do you buy something from 20-25, maybe even going up to 30, or would you be happy with something that is 12-15?

i think it obviously depends on what it is.. as personal virtue goes far beyond cash money. if you're talking specifically about a car then id ask you, how often are you in your car? what does luxory mean to you.. and if it means a lot well then, you may want to spend a little extra.. or if not, then a little less

Definitely depends on what the item is but my general rule is try to beat the budget and at the end of the year/month/whatever dump what was left into investments or treat yourself with it.
