If you had to choose a controller card which of these would you?

#1 Ultra ATA-66 32 bit local bus This one is integrated

#2 Promise Ultra 100 ATA

#3 Adaptec 29610N SCSI PCI

Integrated is good because you don't need to worry about PCI slots\conflicts etc.

Promise 100 is good because you can make it into a RAID card f.o.c.

SCSI is wonderful but a different league altogether. How can you compare these??

2 on a budget, 3 in a perfect world.
Intergrated means no upgrade. And even intergrated's usualy take up an imaginarey pci slot.

I'd go with the Ultra 100, cause if it goes bad, you can replace it, later you can upgrade it...
Now the scsi card is for a different category of products, if you are willing to spend the money for scsi devices, i'd say..go for it...
