I think I would go after dual palominos with a really sophisticated cooling system so that I could overclock to my hearts content. Definitely a Geforce 3 video card with VIVO like the new one from Gainward for $369 on computerhq. The only MP motherboard that is currently available for the dual palominos is the Tyan that runs $600. Throw in an awesome sound card with Dolby Digital decoding and a 5.1 speaker system from hell and rock the house!!!

unlimited money? i'd make a million-node beowulf system using dual athlons at each node and have the best computer, cognitive, and neuro scientists try and program this thing into becoming sentient.

I would buy out all the engineers on the planet, all the companies that have anything to do with anything electronic and have them develop some awesome supercomputer for my personal use(and have some programmers make games exacly the way i want them)

the title says machine so I would probably do the same thing as above but have them develop a time machine or something like that
