There are also tourist outfits that actually fly to camps on antarctica. If I had the cash, I might go, but after I had vacationed at cooler (pun intended) places first.

i met a couple that worked in antarctica for 6 months of a year, then spent the other six months on vacation. they said it was a pretty cool place.

i think there are cruises and ships that go from the southern tip of south america to antarctica pretty frequently.

i just came back from 2 weeks in Eastern Euroipe (6 cities) -> $2500 total
