If you had a choice, which card would you get ?

I wouldnt take either of them, but since you failed to provide some clues as to what you expect from a new card, it would be kinda pointless to give any advice.

Intel P4 2.4
1.0Gb Ram
40 & 80 Gb drives
onboard video.
Soundblaster Live

I would like to play games such as quake 4, Half Life 2 and C.O.D 2 and or F.E.A.R
 
I'm a "bang for buck" guy so I'd take the "other" option and that being a X850XT from the Egg for $205 shipped (after $20 MIR). Similar deals can be had for AGP or PCI-E. No contest.
