if you had 512MB of cas2 crucial on win98se, would you still use memokit 2.5, memturbo 2.1 or cacheman 4.1?

I have 512MB of cas2 crucial, & I haven't had any problems or slowdowns in games or apps either, but I decided to try memokit 2.5, memturbo 2.1, memturo 2.1 with cacheman 4.1, & memokit 2.5 with cacheman 4.1 & all these combinations produced no improvements in any benchmarks. Now would you leave these programs in there or is it better to uninstall it & free up the space? I have a 30GB & still have 28GB free, so space isn't too important.

I wouldn't use them either with that much ram. I even gave windows it's vcache back and it's virtual memory since I don't even come close to touching the VM.

I still use memturbo with 256 megs as it sure beats rebooting to do a refresh of memmory.

Uninstall them.
Even with lesser amounts of RAM they usually do more harm then good.
And with 512MB of RAM under Win98 they definitely are not going to provide any benefit at all.

I would use Win2k...lol :)

Do those apps actually work? One of the reason's why I'm not upgrading my system to 512mb is I still use Windows ME. 512mb on Win ME might be overkill.

forget about those memory enchancement programs.. They'll just add more variables in your system. And since you have RAMs to burn, it's pointless. Personally I agree with Noriaki, I don't like them even if I only have small amount of RAM.
