If you had 300CAD...what would you spend it on?

Simply look at my current rig...

For 300CAD I can have:

- Powercolor HD 5850 PCS+ 1gb...
- Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition OEM + XFX HD 5770 1gb...

I already have an aftermaket CPU cooler so the OEM Phenom II is ok...

I don't know if I want to wait for Fermi...
 
i'd be happy with your current rig and put your money in a fund for a better computer when it'll actually be really better...

This is just upgrade fever - you're wasting money without achieving any significant improvements.
 
I'd spend it on a new RC plane.

I'd go for the 5850 if you absolutely have to spend that money. The 5770 isn't much of an upgrade over your current card. Same goes for the CPUs. Absolutely nothing wrong with your current rig though. It will handle any game out there. Not enough DX11 titles out there to make a HD 5000 worth it, given the HD 4000s are still strong performers.
