A Samsung 243t.

Oh wait, that's not a computer, it's a 24" LCD monitor.... Still, that's what I'd take. My computer is fine as it is. Although it could use a $500 video card.

he also wants a 62" sony plasma (or osmething like that)

$2500 is a good budget for building a top of the line computer. I wouldn't blame him. A 62" Sony Plasma... that'll cost him. Probably like $9000 or so?

or zalman passive case

i guess a modded case with a 3 120mm radiator for very low noise water cooling. add a zalman resorator just for the vid card;)

Some sort of fast AMD something, with some big hard drives and stuff, in one of those Antec/Chieftec cases, with a DVD burner, and good sound and video cards, with a nice, big monitor (whatever I can get with the money left over).

I know that's vague. I don't feel like thinking about hardware at the moment.
