When you read the product information page on Amazon's website for this camera (scroll down to product description), read the second to last paragraph:
"When it's time to transfer the images to your computer, the D-40 is a breeze to use. Connect the included USB cable between the camera and your computer, and the operating system (Windows 98 or newer for PCs, OS 8.6 or newer for Macs) will automatically detect your camera as an external drive, making picture transfers drag-and-drop easy. Olympus has also included Adobe's powerful Photoshop Elements software to make it easy to retouch and manipulate your images. "
When I received my camera today, I noticed that the Adobe software was not included. I called Amazon, and they are now shipping me this product for free:
