If you get great service at a restaurant, do you usually tell the management?

We had an excellent time at Don Pablos tonight... We usually do, but tonight was just really good. Responsive waiter, excellent food, short wait even though it was packed... Just an all around excellent dinner.

After leaving we realized we should have asked for the manager and thanked him for doing his job well. We got to thinking though, do people actually do that?

They probably have "Rate us" cards that you can fill out. probably better to do that than take the manager away from doing his job during a dinner rush.

I always call the manager over and say my meal was horrible, even if it was good. Free meals!

YES!

Customer service is very important to me. I love it whenever a customer or internal customer (fellow banker) gives my manager feedback.

I do the same if I receive great service from someone whether it's in person or over the phone. Several times I have asked a phone CSR to transfer me to their manager. It only takes 30 seconds but for those of us who value customer service, it is greatly appreciated.
