Although, gator tail is pretty good fried with jalepeno cocktail sauce... #rjgators

Yea, I was thinking of what I'd do. I wouldn't kill it unless I was going to eat it. That would be an option, but I've never had reptile, so I don't know if I'd like it. To remove it live, I guess I'd lasso it's snout, tie it up, and drag it out. Sounds easy until you go to do it D^:

Tastes like chicken brined in shrimp juice. It's actually not bad with sauce. A little chewy on its own. Makes a nice appetizer!

I don't think it'd be that big of a deal if it was under your bed. It's not going to be hunting from that location, therefore unless it felt threatened, it seems that it would be extremely reluctant to even move (giving its location away.) They're not the smartest of creatures, and probably had no clue how obvious it stood out. For them, in their natural habitat, not moving = hidden. If it was hunting, it would be near the water, since they kill not by tearing their victims apart, but rather, by drowning their victims. There are some recent videos out of people actually swimming with crocodiles in the water - if you encounter them underwater, apparently they don't attack. To them, you're just something big that they're not going to be able to drown.

Arm myself with something big (eg 458 win mag), leave the room and close the door to contain it, call someone with the proper handling equipment to remove and relocate without harming it.

I'd feel more threatened by and shoot a human before an animal. Animals don't know any better and aren't malicious and don't make conscious decisions to fuck with you just because.

I figure my 45 should make short work of the gator. But if I could get out of the room safely I'd call animal control and let them deal with it.

I'd keep it there.
Feed it some morsels, and have the maid clean up the mess.

It might even scare some burglars away.

357 magnum, then many meals of crocodile.

I've never eaten Croc before, but the gator I've eaten was a little gamey tasting for me. It's like strong tasting fish with a chewy texture...not quite as tough as chicken. There's a reason cajuns put so much spice in everything they eat down there....they're trying to hide the natural flavors... :p
