If you don't have a cdrw drive, I urge you to get the Liteon 0841 drive. You can get it for $120 on pricewatch, but that's not the best part. With a firmware update you can change the drive from a 8x/4x drive to a 12x/10x drive! So if you're in need of a cdrw drive, check it out.

i had a ricoh 4x4x20 ide w/2mb buffer on my amd-k6 233 32megs of ram. i burned about 300+ cds to date, only 4 coasters, before switching to my current system. thats not even a buck down the drain. and considering you dont find many ricoh cd-rs around, they obviously weren't the best or most popular. and it was the cheapest i could find at the time. usually you get what you pay for. but don't count an option out too early.

<< At that price, it probably makes a lot of coasters? >>

Oh forgot to mention that it has burn-proof too when you update its firmware. Not too bad of a deal eh?
