It was 10% of the way through and did not drop below 597 KB/sec throughout the d/l, the bandwidth was indeed sweet:beer:
(then again, optimumonline, my ISP, is the FASTEST residential ISP in the nation)

Another thanks! One quick note.....there is hotfix that needs to be DL'd also.....just a few MB. If you don't you won't be able to run the result browser.

Thx!

Uh...that's when you just started your download, isn't it? :)

Does THIS prove my point?

(d/l'd it again, doesn't take long):p

Ok ok :) I believe you. It's just that here in Canada, there's only 2, count'em two reliable high-speed ISP's! and the lack of competition means high prices. It's like ATI and Nvidia: total market domination.

Just to give you an overview, here's the pricing details for one of those two ISP's and the equivalent dollar amount in USD.

High Speed Ultra Fastest 4Mbps $68.94/month 54.56 USD
High Speed Faster 3Mbps $28.69/month 22.71 USD
DSL Basic Fast 128Kbps $22.94/month 18.16 USD

GreatBarracuda, my ISp may be fast, but it's mostly bragging rights. What do yankeesfan and I get for being the fastest on the speed race, our speed is hardly necessary. And our prices aren't great either, my cable now is either $45 or $50 /month plus tax. I wonder who pays the higher taxes, you canucks, or we "new yalkers."

And you can't touch broadband here in NY for anything as low as you listed in your specs.

This server has a 100 mbit connection to the outside world. I found out really quickly that a 10mbit connection doesn't cut it when you offer file downloads here. :p
