Me too. There should be a rule where new members are given more leeway because of their potential to grow. Once someone reaches a certain number of years and/or posts without showing any further progression, they are shown to have outlived their usefulness to society and are summarily put to sleep.

Why does a black neighborhood have to equal Ghetto on here? There are such things as affluent black neighborhood. Hell in AA county just a hop, skip and a jump from where I live there is an affluent black community where Bill Cosby, and the late Alex Haley have a residence. I'm not certain of the name but i know it is on the either the severn river or the magothy river. And I work in an a predominately black neighborhood of Windsor Mill, at night. Ooh scarey, the people that live here have a different skin color than I do, ooh *sarcasm*. For real people, can't we get out of this 1950s attitude of race?

Now on the flip side of things, I hate political correctness. I feel that it just makes race relations even more difficult.

I have no problem walking in black neighborhoods, and have done so in NYC throughout my life.

The thing you actually have to watch out for, regardless of the demographics of the area, are the dangerous spots or where outsiders aren't welcome. White, black, Asian, Latino/hispanic, etc doesn't matter, everyone knows the places to avoid if you've lived in an area long enough.

I'm happy that the place I live now and NYC too are relatively safe places compared to other parts of the country.

Exactly, like I said I work in a predominately black neighborhood, while it has some quirks, its not exactly the ghetto, on the other hand, you couldn't pay me to go to Park Heights during the day let alone the night. Who wants to go into the projects or the ghetto or a rough area anyway. We have white areas that are rough around Baltimore and I definately am hesitant about going to those places(see Dundalk, Lansdowne, Baltimore Highlands, Riverview or Brooklyn, MD) in the daytime let alone at night.

Outside of my friend and his roommates, they lived in an all black neighborhood in Washington DC. I used to visit him quite often and never feared for my life nor did they.
