all of you, uninstall AOL IM from your computer. then you wont say things you wouldnt say to people in real life, and you stop procrastinating, and if someone really wants to talk they can call you and talk to you in person. so, if you want to improve your life, uninstal AIM

I uninstalled AOL a long time ago. I install it sometimes so my GF can show me something online.

150 people buddy lists ... memories.

I never installed it.

I don't have any real friends so I never bothered. Do I win?...or... lose... :(

A good advice ... except that I'm not sure that it would suddenly stop someone from procrastinating. He/she will find another distraction.

P.S. I cannot believe that people have such large number of "buddies". Do their lives depend upon the internet?

I don't have aim installed. Why would I? So I can't waste my life rotting away chatting? Not me!

my two biggest sources of procrastination are AIM and ATOT. unfortunately i cant uninstal ATOT.....

but, ive noticed in the last week without aim that ive had so much free time I dont know what to do! its awesome. ive been playing pool a lot more, and im getting pretty good.

I think AIM is one of my generations biggest downfalls (im 18) i think were one of the first generations to grow up with the internet and we rely on aim too much, aim decreases social skills, grammar skills, and the ability to confront people in real life. I wasnt joking when i posted that advice, i think it will seriously help people. When i have kids, they arent going to be allowed to have chat programs like that. they might hate me, but at least they will learn to talk to people in real life and not on the internet

meh... like they say... problem in chair, not in computer. You make a good point though.

I'm on AIM when I nef. Not when I do HW. Phone calls bother me (phones are dirty). I'm out of the apartment most of the day anyway.
