lets assume that your significant other had some medical mishap / problem. and they could never again engage with your sexually. would you stay together and commited?

both short term, and long run.

------

ok for the wierdos ill make it more defined.

lets assume there was a brain injury / tramatic event or similar.

that made the person unable to deal with sexual situations.

things like cuddling, hugging, kissing ... ie. affection not sexual the person could handle.

but if it turned sexual they would passout / have panic attacks or something along those lines.

Yes, I would stay. We married for more than a physical reason, although it would suck big time I love her and would stay. I only hope 1) It never happens and 2) If it does I never make her feel badly for it.

well think about it, would your S/O even be alive?

you would have to have your hands, crotch, and face blown off

would your S/O even want to live after that, let alone survive an accident like that?

Damn hard question...right now our together time is limited by other time constraints, so it wouldn't be much different...but knowing it would NEVER happen I don't know if I could stay.

If we were already married, had years into it already, had all the kids we wanted, etc, maybe then it would be different. But even then there'd just about HAVE to be an allowance to go outside the marriage to play. Life without sexual intimacy isn't life.

Yes, certainly.

It would be hard, but a relationship is about love, not sex.... and while I love the sex, I love her as a person more. ;)

I don't have one right now. But I would have no problems with that if they had reached a status where I'm willing to call them a significant other.

If I couldn't bang on my drum set, I would have to let my drum set go.

If my spouse and I had some reason that we could not engage in sexual activities, it would be dissappointing, but NO way would we seperate. Love is WAY more than sex, and just because two people cannot "have sex" does not mean that they have to refrain from physical touch.
