They are a company that does snorkelling tours, scuba tours, parasailing, etc, over in Aruba. I wouldn't even care if it was like $10/hr. i would do it and enjoy life over there in a different way than here.

I work in the fed govt science and research branch. As in most federal organizations, jobs (meaning running an IT division or running a national lab etc.) are awarded through open public bidding by private companies. The IT dept in my branch is outsourced and I know it is in lots of other federal institutions. There's definitely alot of IT jobs within the govt, but the truth is you won't necessarily be on a federal payroll if you work in one. You would probably stand a better chance of working in a federal govt environment by working at a company thats bids on and wins such projects. Unfortunately you wouldn't be getting the special federal pension plan, etc.

My dream job would be a park ranger in Alaska.
