I would have to pick one for every century.

For the 20th century I would probably say Richard Feynman.

Schizophrenics talk to god all the time. He talks back to them too!

As for me, Einstein I think.

Wow, so far not one person has mention anyone other then a white male.. Well, I guess that depends on how Jesus looks to you.

Who says Jesus was white? He was born in the Middle east and was a Jew if I'm not mistaken. Was he not called "King of the Jews"? Jews are not European white men.

Plato is considered to be a white male?

I'd like to talk to Jesus, maybe Lao Tzu.

Jesus, yes.

Mortals?

Samuel Johnson. An intellect with a wry humor. My kind of guy.

Ummm, as far as I know and have been taught, yes.

Thats why I said "Well, I guess that depends on how Jesus looks to you. " Everyone has a different idea of what Jesus was.
I wasn't trying to make a point about race but a educational point.. Everyone we are taught about in school is either white or someone living among whites.. Our "world history" only involves a quarter of the plane if that.. Its kind of scary if you ask me.

Well considering we live in a history where white males dominated the world, its natural no?

For what? The past century or two? Its very ignorant on our part to think "history" began with us and will end with us.

 I'm not a white man.

Being American (which at least 95%+ of ATOT is I'm assuming), we learn about white males of America and mainly European history. A few woman and ethnic minorities here and there, and barely touch upon African/Asian history. Our schooling doesn't really go back to Ancient times.... Egypt & the Roman Empire I guess. Those that are older (parents) know even less of ancient history from school.

Americans know close to nothing about influential people outside of American/Europe because they had far less of a direct influence upon us, and thus we show little interest in them.

So I'm saying, isn't it natural that we pick historical white males?

I don't see how I'm being ignorant. I speak the truth. And what do you mean end with us? If we stop it right now and say "history", yes there are more white males to choose out of, that we know about.
