If you could only bring 10 DVD's with you when you move, what would you choose?

Considering how easy it is to get movies online, on cable, from the library, and a zillion other places, owning them isn't really all that important. But I still wanted to keep a few.

I picked
Airplane
Galaxy Quest
Producers (original)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Dogma
Major League
Victor/Victoria
Topsy Turvy
Pokemon Mewtoo Strikes Back
LOTR extended

My netflix subscription.

I rarely buy my own media anymore.

Beyond that, probably the star wars trilogy, the indiana jones trilogy and lord of the rings trilogy. For me those have the most rewatchability.

Sets, or individual DVDs? I don't watch many movies, but if you include sets, this is what I consider essential, in fact, I own most of them, though some are incomplete...

Twilight Zone series
Star Trek TNG
Mr Bean TV series
Nightmare Before Christmas
Harry Potter series
LoTR series
M*A*S*H TV series
Benny Hill TV series

Edit:
Crap, I forgot a couple...

Northern Exposure TV series
Metropolis

There, that gets me to the 10 allotted :^D

I don't think I even own 10 DVD's. Never saw much reason to buy movies. Rent them, watch them, return them.

I don't watch very many movies more than once.

That's cool. There are a lot of movies that are great the first time. There are also a lot of movies that the first time is just the "practice run", you really begin to get the details and so on when you watch it over and over. Different tastes - that's what makes the world so interesting.

The rest I'd throw in the air and blast with a shotgun.

Hope you're feeling better btw. :)

I'd bring TV box sets. There aren't many movies I could watch repeatedly.

how many movies you own OP?

Couple hundred. Didn't realize it was so many till I went to pack them. Scary how easily they accumulate. Don't worry, they're going to a good home - my older daughter, so if I really miss anything I can get it. She's forever borrowing them anyway.
