If you could listen to only one band for the rest of your life, who would you choose?

Nickleback.

I could think that even if I somehow end up in Hell, it wont be as bad as my time on Earth.

I could also keep myself occupied by playing games like "guess the track number" because they all sound the same.

Funny that most of the above I listened to just this week.

Today was Led Zeppelin, Depeche Mode, Dave Matthews, Nicki Milan/someone else, Black Eyed Peas, Adele...

love music.

Bah, I never listed mine. Hard to say, right now I'm really into Band of Horses. Also love Hurt, Coheed & Cambria, and Avett Brothers.

Bruce Cockburn

I have always loved this one song of his.

Huge orange flying boat rises off a lake
Thousand-year-old petroglyphs doing a double take
Pointing a finger at eternity
I'm sitting in the middle of this ecstasy

Young men marching, helmets shining in the sun,
Polished as precise like the brain behind the gun
(Should be!) they got me thinking about eternity
Some kind of ecstasy got a hold on me
And I'm wondering where the lions are...
I'm wondering where the lions are...

Freighters on the nod on the surface of the bay
One of these days we're going to sail away,
going to sail into eternity
some kind of ecstasy got a hold on me
Choosing one band would be hard. If it has to be a band, my safe "for the rest of your life" choice would have to be the Beatles, for the amazing breadth and diversity of their career.

My emotional choice of a band would be THE Band -- "Please Mrs. Henry, Mrs. Henry please!" -- with Bobby D. down in that basement.

I'm a thousand years old
I'm a generous bomb
I'm T-boned and punctured
I've been known to be calm

Please, Mrs. Henry, Mrs. Henry, please
Please, Mrs. Henry, Mrs. Henry, please
I'm down on my knees an' I ain't got a dime

Now, I'm startin' to drain
My stool's gonna squeak
If I walk too much farther
My crane's gonna leak

Look, Mrs. Henry
There's only so much I can do
Why don't you look my way
An' pump me a few? :p
But, aside from bands, for sheer lyrical genius, Mr. Zimmerman stands just about alone -- although Tom Waits would also do.

Hell, I cant stick with one genre a day let alone one band for a lifetime.
Chevelle--no, Clannad---no, Beatles--no, Pink, no -- no --
Oh shit I cant decide.
