If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

I've always wanted to go to Australia and New Zealand. For one thing, I don't have to worry about learning a new language (lazy, but true.) But mostly, it's because I've simply always wanted to go there. I had quite a few Australian classmates when I was in college and they were without a doubt some of the nicest people I ever met. And while I'm down there, maybe I'll pop in on Tahiti.

Go to china. its got some FINE scenery places. i mean, NIICCCEEE

Norway and see the ancestral home.
Vietnam took a class and was amazed by the history and the beauty of the area.
Czechoslovakia took a class on Eastern European history and was really impressed by the people and culture.

Actually, I think using the term "Orient" to describe Asia or Asian countries is OK, but the term "Oriental" to describe Asian people is not OK. "Oriental" is used to describe rugs and stuff.

Edit: Forgot to answer the question. I'd like to go visit Europe. I was just there, but I didn't get to see enough. I'd like to go back and finish seeing all the big cities, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, London, etc. I only got to see Italy and Austria.

Maybe the Greek Isles or Croatia. I've seen photos of the area, and it's breathtakingly beautiful. I'm tired of the U.S. vista of signs for McDonald's, Wendy's, Wal-Mart, Gap, et al, ad nauseum. I want to live where I can sit in a little whitewashed cafe and drink Turkish coffee. I want a slower, European pace of life. I want to work where people get a month or more for vacation every year. I want a better quality of life than I have here.

Japan. Expensive as hell but if I had the cash I'd go there for a month. Half of my spending money would be on sightseeing while the other half would be for Akihabara.
