Meh. My father and his 4 other brothers are all 6' - 6'2 and skinny as a rail. So am I. Your body has an innate size that it natually wants to be at. Diverting from that one way or the other can be very difficult.

Just looking at other family members pretty much confirms that having the body of a middle line backer ain't in the genetic cards for me.

Genetics does play a signifigant role in body composition/metabolism, however there is definitely a sizable percentage of people who could get to where they want to be by adjusting their caloric intake.

I've listened to guys who complain about being overweight saying it runs in their family but they polish off a 2 liter of coke and a large pizza in one sitting. Their parents do the same thing (mostly explaining their fatness). Breaking a learned behavior like that is difficult but doable.

Conversely, I know skinny guys who swear they "can't gain a lb", and eat "everything in sight", yet when we enter it into fitday, we find they are actually only eating ~2000 calories per day.

As someone else said, you may never be able to look like Arnold, but you are not doomed to be skinny as a rail if you are willing to eat enough to gain weight.

I'd love an extra 5-6 inches. I'm kind of screwed at 5'4". I still have enough self-respect to not surgically lengthen my legs, so I hope someone has some magic.

There's a leishmaniasis scar on my face that I guess wouldn't be bad to get rid of. But I don't care enough to get plastic surgery or anything.

damnit, now I'm scared for my kids. I was hoping they'd wind up super tall like their dad.
me: 5'
him: 6'2"

i'd wish to be a few inches taller.

Nothing really in terms of appearance. I'm happy with the way I look, although I need to work out more.

<-------5'11

As far as general physical improvement, I'd like the weak tissue that causes my sports hernia to get stronger. It flares up if I really push myself during a workout, and then I'm out for a week while it heals. :(

I'm 5'11" and only weigh 130. Twenty added pounds would be nice.

Taller, skinnier, cuter, more hair.

Actually, I would just swap bodies with Brad Pitt.
And I'd wash it once in a while. ;)

I've got a bunyan that makes it hard to buy shoes, but I'm also 5'6"... so I'd probably go with being taller. 5'10" would be nice.

My weight, I always feel a little on the chubby side. :( But also, the one thing that drives me absolutely insane is my calves. It's kind of strange, but I have huge muscley calves. I wish they were thinner. Bah.

People are born with certain types & amounts of muscle. They are given very specific dispositions and abilities. I'll never be able to dunk a basketball. I'll never run a 45 second 400 meter. These are just things that my body wasn't designed to do. Same goes for being bulked up with muscle. It's just not natural for me. Distance running and jump shots came to me like a second nature. It's much easier and effective to concentrate at what I'm good at instead of pissing in the wind and trying to be what I'm not.

I'll leave it at that and stop posting in this thread.

I suppose I could do with slimmer hips - I've got more of an hourglass figure than some women.
Well, maybe not "hourglass" - more like Dr. Beverly Crusher from TNG.

Do you work out your back and shoulders enough? It will stretch you out a bit in the front.

I'm literally looking around my body for something I would change. I'm not sure. I'm happy with myself.

People are born with certain types and amounts of muscle, then they get older and at the time they should be concentrating on making sure that their body shapes up to what it should be they don't take care of themselves enough to be able to accomplish things like dunking basketballs and running 40s super fast. Granted, your body may be genetically retrofitted with what it needs to achieve tasks better than others, but if one worked hard enough during their growing stages they could set themselves up to do anything they want.

Most people find by the time they show interest its just too late.

How do you thiink those guys in the nba that are like 5'6" or whatever dunk? Its not genetics its because if you ask them they started doing 2000 calf raises per day since they where 13. Walking around in weight shoes etc etc....

I'm 6'1" and have broad shoulders and a large frame. I just need to loose my beer belly and bulk beef myself up a bit.

I'm around 6'1" and about 200lbs. My frame is large, but I'd prefer to be about 215lbs and ~13% body fat. I'm not sure genetics will allow me to get there.

Other than that, I'd probably change my hair (have more of it) and maybe the size of my feet; people call me clown feet because they're too damn big :( :)

It's funny, it was never really an issue for me until I got in a fight with an ex and she used it as an oppotunity to vent about how she hated how short I am. Ever since then I've been slightly insecure about it :(

Dude, if some chick throws something like that in your face during a fight, she's pretty pathetic. Don't even think twice about it.

When I was in high school, I was dating a... ehh... "larger" woman. I was a little skinnier than average, and when we got into a fight once, she told me that she wish I had more muscle on me.

I nearly died laughing my ass off.

"Sweetheart, I can hit the weights... but you'll always have elephant bones."

Of course, I'm bald now.

Currently I'm 6'0" and 225 lbs. Although I've lost 60 lbs in the last 2 years I could stand to lose 25 more. However, if I could change one thing about me I'd like to be 4 inches taller while retaining the same weight, build, and proportionate wingspan.
