I'll actually change the question to this:

If you being forced to be reborn, and they gave you the option to choose youre IQ, what would you choose? Think hard about this.

The number right above what makes people legally retarded. I'd be a hell of a lot happier if I were stupid and could enjoy simple things.

There are times when I wonder whether I'd be happier with either a normal IQ or with one more step towards genius.

It's like my height: at 6'0" barefoot, the arms on a regular LS polo shirt are too short, while on a tall shirt they're a bit too long.

Being "gifted" means I could place the light bulbs in the snow for Tesla, but not be him.

I'd chose to be born with an IQ of 420^69 I'd probably be a shoe salesman too.

Just enough so that I can answer this question:

A rooster is sitting on top of a roof whose pitch is one to one or 45 degrees. The wind is blowing from east to west, facing one side of this roof. If the rooster laid an egg with the large side down on a 95 degree F day, in the Northern Hemisphere, which way would the egg roll?

I remember that question from first grade, except it didn't have the superfluous info with it.

Yes.

Definitely pick an IQ of 90. Dumb enough to be happy, yet somewhat still functional :D

My suspicion is being referred. Most seemingly gifted individuals would actually choose to have a lower IQ. I think I would do the same
